Introduction

Welcome to Gemdoku! This Privacy Policy explains how Lunar Apps LLC ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS application Gemdoku (the "App").

Who We Are

Gemdoku is owned and operated by Lunar Apps LLC, a Texas Limited Liability Company.

Information We Collect

Anonymous Player Identifier: The App generates a random identifier on your device (shown in Settings as e.g. "Gem-A1B2"). It is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any device identifier, and we cannot use it to identify you.
Gameplay Statistics: When you start or finish a level or daily challenge, the App sends the level number, board size, score, mistakes, hints used, time taken, and result to our server, tagged with the anonymous identifier. This powers features like "the share of players who completed this level," the daily challenge comparison, and the weekly leaderboard.
Local Game Data: Your progress, streak, hints, and preferences are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud key-value storage that only you can access.
Advertising Data: The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device information (such as device model, IP address, and advertising identifiers where permitted by your device settings) to serve and measure ads. See "Third-Party Services" below.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or photos, and the App has no accounts, chat, or user-generated content.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to provide app functionality. These services have their own privacy policies:

How We Use Information

To provide the daily challenge, completion statistics, and the weekly leaderboard.
To understand which levels are too hard and improve the game.
To show ads that support the free App.

We do not sell your personal data.

Your Rights & Data Controls

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data. Because our gameplay statistics are tied only to a random identifier, deleting the App removes the identifier from your device and breaks any link between you and the statistics already sent. You can also request deletion of a specific identifier's records through the App's Feedback option in Settings, quoting the ID shown there.

Children's Privacy

Gemdoku does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Security of Your Information

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect data. However, no online service can be 100% secure. You are responsible for securing your device.

Data Retention

We retain gameplay statistics only as long as necessary to provide our services.

Our Legal Basis for Processing (EEA)

If you are in the European Economic Area, we rely on: consent (personalised advertising, where requested), contractual necessity (providing the game features you use), and legitimate interests (service improvement and fraud prevention), provided these do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Data Storage and International Transfers

Information is stored on secure servers located in the United States. If you access Gemdoku from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy and your use of Gemdoku are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States of America, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Business Transfers

If Lunar Apps LLC is acquired or merged with another company, information may be transferred to new ownership, subject to this Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. If changes are significant, we will notify you in the App.
